Butte La Rose Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 400 people living in an area of 40 square miles. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 9.

Butte La Rose VFD is located in the Atchafalaya Basin, in upper St. Martin Parish.

We are known here as the "Swamp Pumpers".
